Hi Brenda – well – its been slightly more than a month since i received my little Rica. She is
certainly an amazing little puppy! I really didn't have to ‘potty train’ her – she just kind of figured
it out on her own. She is sooo funny too! She roots through all my dirty laundry and pulls out
my socks and brings them out to the living room – sometimes she puts them in her bed! She
never chews them – just hauls them out to the living room! LOL She also takes my slippers to
the living room. The minute i take them off – she picks one up – it’s as big as she is but she
manages to carry it all the way down the hall and to her bed. I wondered how she was getting it
out of the bedroom as often the door is left ajar – only open a few inches. She is smart enough
to know how to do it. I watched her yesterday to see how she was doing it. She carries the
slipper to the door. Drops it. Goes out of the door – then drags the slipper through. And then
just picks it up again and continues on her way. Very smart to figure that out. She is like a little
flying squirrel as well – leaping from one chair to the sofa – a 2 foot leap! She has also learned
to like being UNDER the blankets. Whether in my bed or on my lap. And she has figured out
how to nose her way under a blanket no matter where the blanket might be. She and Riley
(Susan's first dog from BK'S) are most often curled into my lap together. They play well together
and I believe Riley has decided she can stay. She hasn't decided if she likes Puppy
Kindergarten yet, although she made great strides tonight and actually walked a bit - on HER
terms – on the leash. Which is miles more than we accomplished last week! LOL She loves to
play with all the toys around and REALLY loves all the chew sticks. She has learned quickly
what the words, breakfast, lunch, supper, snack and TREAT mean! She is in bed with me
LONG before Riley shows up. While Riley is content to sleep on her own, in her own bed –
Rica rarely sleeps anywhere but on my lap or in my bed with me. And when I am not home –
she curls up with Riley. She is a real treasure. I receive so many compliments on her colouring
and how tiny she is and of course, how cute she is. The two of them together attract a lot of
attention at the local PetSmart when we shop for new clothes or new treats!
Well, that’s about it I guess. I just thought I would send an update.

Hi Brenda
Louie (Tammy and Gizzmo's puppy) is the best little puppy I
have ever had. He isn't shy, and loves my little girl. They play
tag all night and wears both out, thank goodness. I just wanted

I am so happy I found your website I got 2 male Chi's from you
back in June of 2004 Blues and Yoda! There doing GREAT
Blues weights a whopping 3 1/4 pounds and Yoda is 4 1/2. I

Brenda, Hi! How are you? Just thought you would like to see how
things are going for Misty's little guy. He is so adorable and the
sweetest little thing! We named him Tucker and he is pretty much
completely housebroken and litter box trained already. He is very
smart and getting big so fast. With the weather warming he has
gotten to experience his first few walks around the block. He is very
curious and the walks take very long but thats ok. Our other
chihuahua Milo is very grateful for the company and they get along

Hi Brenda, We wanted to send you some new pictures of the
Lila. We just love her!!!Buster LOVES having a little buddy to
play with! She loves the cats... already chasing them
around...lol...our friends and family all want to keep her. She is
has all the qualities of the perfect dog. Since day one she has

Hi, I recently adopted a chi from Brenda Mattson, his name is
Izzy. He is beautiful, sweet and healthy. When I took him to my
vet, I was told I had a very healthy puppy (which validated what I
knew, additionally, all he did was give the vet "kisses"- which was
rather entertaining. Izzy is now even more spoiled rotten and he
came spoiled rotten. This is the first dog I have had since I was a
child and he is wonderful. I have cats and my cats always are
either found or come from shelters. I was concerned about a
puppy and wanted to ascertain I had a healthy and happy puppy,
which of course, I have.

The Perfect Experience!!!
This was my first time dealing with Brenda Mattson of BKs Chihuahuas
and just let me tell you that the ENTIRE experience was PERFECT
from start to finish! Brenda went above and beyond any expectation
that I had/have in a breeder! She made sure that the two sweet little
girls that I purchased from her made it all the way from Wisconsin to
Pennsylvania safely and soundly. She kept me informed EVERY step
of the way by email and included lots and lots of pictures, too! She also
sent the girls' registration papers to me by email and postal service. I
had them the same day I brought the girls home! The puppies, who
have been named Eden and Abigail are very healthy and happy and a
PURE JOY! Thank you SO much, Brenda for everything!

Hey Brenda!
Just thought I would send you some pictures of Hurley and tell
you he was doing just fine. The vet says hes a healthy dog, he is
learning his way around the apartment, learning the time to eat
and go to bed and is about 95% litter box trained. So things are
going great. Some of the pictures are of the whole family, Brittany
Hurley and I. The one with the white jack russel is of my dog at
home in redfield south dakota, his name is Keeko and the 2 of
them got along great. The others of him in my lap are from the
way home, he fell asleep like that, head cranked back, arms
stretched out haha. hes a goof. The ones with the sweatshirt are
the other day when i took him outside to watch some cars race. It
was a chilly day haha. We are in the process of getting him 2
more hooded sweatshirts that Brittanys mom is making for us.
Another is of me and him just relaxing on the couch and the last
one is his Halloween costume (Brittany's Idea). She thought it
would be cute to dress him as a pumpkin haha. Anyway I just
thought I would update you with some pics, tell you we are a
happy family and we love him to death. thank you very very much
for this love in our life. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you so much for my healthy happy puppy! He’s doing
wonderful at his new home. He’s got the routine down and takes
his lead from his two big sisters Gypsy (my sheltie/beagle mix) and
Lilly Mae (my Jack Russel/Dachshound mix). They take care of him
and watch him like two mother hens. He’s definitely found his voice
and loves to stomp in the leaves to make them crunch and run
around his back yard doing everything the girls are doing.
My vet said he is in perfect health.
Just wanted to say thank you for my little baby. He’s the sweetest.
I did rename him “Blaze” due to the white streak on his forehead
and he already answers to it, plus I consider him already potty
trained. Only two accidents and that was the first night he was
there, now it just seems like he knows what to do. What a smart
little boy!

Hi Brenda,
The girls are doing great. They are still sleeping in their chair.
Paris is so loving and Trixie is very brave. Thanks again for
these wonderful little girls! We took the girls shopping today.
They each got two sweaters and a collar. They'll get new collars
this weekend as the ones we bought today won't fit long. As you
can see they just love the Boxer. Rayne is just a puppy herself
and thinks these Chihuahuas are the greatest entertainment.

Hi, this is C. Mullner. I got a female black and tan from you, and I
named her Cleopatra. Just thought that you would like and
update. Cleo and Aurora are doing great, but I think Cleo thinks
she's an Alaskan Malamute... lol. Cleo is now 6.9 lbs, and Aurora
is 51 lbs, the last time I went to the vet. Cleo loves to walk, but
hates to put her harness and jacket on, she loves to cuddle, and
is a sucker for real pepperoni. She figured out that if she doesn't
want to big dogs to step on her (my parent's black lab/blood
hound, and my mother-in-law's chocolate lab) she just needs to
bark when she's running with them to tell them where she is. She
hates other little dogs, but loves other big dogs. She also
refuses to "jump" onto furniture, she must be picked up... Good
thing her name is Cleopatra the queen... lol. I've sending some
picks with.

Hi Brenda!! I thought I'd send you a quick email and let you know
how Rooney is doing. He's a very well-behaved puppy and is
becoming very very playful. He rarely cries when he's put in his
pen and seems to be beginning to recognize when he's being
called. He's a cuddly little peanut and I couldn't be more happy to
have him. He's got his first vet appointment this Thursday for a
puppy checkup and his second set of shots.

I want to thank you again for your great service and warm
welcome each and every time I visited. Everything's going great
and I'm incredibly pleased.
